She had puppies when she first arrived into rescue. Her pups are now weaned and she is ready for a new life to be a loved family member and not a mom.
Hello! Please allow me to introduce myself. I’m Gift and I’m about two years old. Despite my young age, I’m calm and obedient and loving and just about everything else good you’d want in a young Lab. I love to swim and live to please. See why they named me Gift? I do have my share of struggles, though. I found myself abandoned and pregnant but ended up in the most loving foster home to raise my puppies. I have been a devoted mama and now it’s time to focus on me! I am just about ready to be treated for heart worms. It’s so disappointing that I was not kept on the inexpensive preventative that would have protected me. Going through the treatment means I’ll have to be kept quiet for about six weeks. No more running or jumping or anything that gets my heart rate elevated, but just during that short period of time. Thankfully, I’m a well-behaved dog so that won’t be hard for me. As long as I have a little attention and a soft bed, I’ll know I’m still in heaven. The rescue will pay for my treatment at their vet so all you need to do is invest a little time in me and then love me for the rest of my life! Now, let’s get in a play and snuggle fest!
